Reflections of another year done

Yesterday was our last day of school.  It was a day of mixed emotions.

- Happy that summer break is finally here.
- Proud of the accomplishments and growth of all my kinder students.
- Appreciative for all the parents who entrusted me with the care and education of their children.
- Excited  to have more time available for myself, my family, and new professional development opportunities.
- Tired - it is kindergarten after all!
- Weepy - I cried.....5 times.
- Saddened that I will not see the smiling excited faces of my now graduated kinder students every day.
- Thankful for all the memories my kinder babies and I now have for the rest of our lives.

End of summer

It has been an amazing, fun-filled summer!

     - setting up my new classroom

     - transporting my daughter to Oliver rehearsals and helping out for 8 wonderful performances

     - a super-relaxing kayak trip

     - a week long graduate writing class

     - reading lots of professional resources

     - working with local teachers to re-vamp district math assessments

     - another graduate course: Leveled Literacy Intervention

      And now...,,.

A one week trip to Maine! 

Next week, it is back to school for me!   

I just typed up my welcome letter which I will mail out to my kiddos next Monday.
